ARS Princess Award

Class 1: The Financial District
Create a vertical arrangement using roses and rose foliage (these are the only materials you can use in this design

ARS Oriental Award

Class 3: The Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park
Create an arrangement in an Oriental manner. For example, a “Moribana” style arrangement in a low container, showing water, or a “Nageire” style arrangement in a tall container, or a freestyle design. All of these styles should feature roses.

Class 4: Picnic in the Wine Country
Do a mass arrangement in a basket. Other flowers, foliage, and accessories are permitted. Roses should dominate.

Create a horizontal line or diagonal line arrangement using roses, and any other fresh or dried plant material, if desired.

Use two containers of the same or different sizes or shapes, using any type of connection between them with any type of material to create an arrangement where roses are the dominate flower.

Do an abstract arrangement using roses and any other plant material, which may be abstracted (used in an un-natural way). Use few roses-make it bold and artistic!

Class 12: Monterey Aquarium
Use anything from the ocean as a container for an arrangement using mini or miniflora roses, no more than 8 inches in any direction.

It is windy on the Pacific Ocean. Show movement in any direction with roses and line material. Use a rock as an accessory somewhere in your arrangement.
