ROSE ARRANGEMENT DIVISION
"Lights, Camera ... Roses"

 

SECTION I: AMERICAN ROSE SOCIETY CERTIFICATE

Open to all amateur flower arrangers.

Class 1: “Send Me No Flowers”
Do an arrangement of your choice featuring one large, stunning rose from your garden, using all fresh plant material.

ARS Silver Certificate
ARS Oriental Award

Class 2: “On the Waterfront”
Create an arrangement in an Oriental manner. For example, a Moribana style arrangement in a low container, showing water, or a Nagiere style arrangement in a tall container, or a free style arrangement. All of these styles should feature roses.

Class 3: “The Pink Panther”
The movie was fun and crazy. Use pastel or light colored or pink roses in a whimsical line or line mass arrangement

SECTION II: PENINSULA ROSE SOCIETY, NOVICE
Open to NOVICE arrangers only. A novice is one who has won no more than a total of five blue ribbons in previous annual shows of the Peninsula Rose Society.

Class 5: “The Music Man”
Create a rose arrangement of your choice with roses and anything musical, - containers, accessories, etc.

SECTION III: PENINSULA ROSE SOCIETY ADVANCED
Open to Advanced arrangers.

Class 6: “Gone with the Wind”
Show movement in any direction using roses and any other plant material-fresh or dried.

Do any style of arrangement using roses and something musical as a container or accessory.

SECTION V: MINIATURE AND MINIFLORAL ARRANGEMENTS
Open to all amateur rose growers.

Class 12: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”
Using a tea cup, egg cup or any other small container used at breakfast, do an arrangement using mini or miniflora roses, no more than 6 inches in any direction.

Use 2 small containers with some connective between them, using mini or miniflora roses, no more than 4 inches in any direction.

Open to all juniors, 17 years of age and under.

Class 14: “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”
Use any favorite action figure or stuffed animal as an accessory in a rose arrangement.

What makes you hungry? Do a rose arrangement of your choice using any WRAPPED candy, lollipop, or other food item you like as an accessory.

Do a rhythmic arrangement using roses and other line material of your choice.
